FDOT and CUTR have developed a guidance document that agencies should review if designing and installing temporary barriers to limit operator exposure to the COVID-19 virus. Since there are many safety factors to consider when designing and installing these barriers, it is prudent to perform a hazard risk analysis to make certain that each agency is designing out any potential hazards to the best of their ability.
This guidance supports the continued SMS effort and will assist transit agencies with understanding how to conduct and document a safety risk assessment that is acceptable to their agency.
