Legislative Awareness Day

The  Florida  Public  Transportation  Association  (FPTA)  will host the  2019 Public  Transportation  and  Transportation  Disadvantaged  Legislative  Awareness  Day  at  the  Florida  Capitol  on  Wednesday, March 20, 2019.

Wednesday, March 20, 2019

Location: Capitol Courtyard, First and Second Floor Rotundas
Weather Considerations:  If inclement weather, the event will take place at the Senate Portico. Otherwise, the event will be held in the courtyard in front of the Old Capitol steps.

7:30 AM – 8:30 AM

Vehicle Move-In and Exhibitor Set-Up

Display vehicles must be moved in by 8:30 AM. If you pre-registered, please visit our Registration Tent to check-in. Exhibitors may choose their own location on a first come, first serve basis. Tables will be available outside and on the first floor of the Capitol.

Entertainment and Performances

National Anthem

11:00 AM – 12:00 PM


The event will include speakers and entertainment on the steps of the old Capitol building in the courtyard.

12:00 PM – 1:30 PM Lunch
Enjoy lunch in the Capitol Courtyard. Lunch is open to the public, no fee will be charged. First Come, First Served.
1:30 PM – 2:30 PM Entertainment and Performances
2:30 PM Exhibits Close / Vehicle Move Out
2:30 PM – 4:30 PM Meet with your Legislators (Attendees should make their own appointments)
When speaking with your Legislators, share with them why transportation is important to you and thank them for their support.
